Double-top

I have been inspired by the double top guitars made by Matthias Dammann and Gernot Wagner. The double top structure makes possible that the guitar is very responsive, with all the notes and no dead or wolf notes, an extremely broad spectrum of colors, tones, and textures to explore and power to spare with a real dynamic range. I make my double tops with elevated fingerboards and I compensate intonation for each string at both nut and saddle, using the method developed by luthier Greg Byers.
